Like many equestrian artists, Laura was inspired by horses from an early age. Largely self taught, Laura began accepting horse portrait commissions in 2007 and has been busy producing beautiful original pieces ever since.
Laura works primarily in oils on linen as she find this medium enables her to achieve the high levels of detail she so enjoys working in. This year saw Laura's debut at the prestigious Society of Equestrian Artists Annual Exhibition, Mall Galleries London, at which she was awarded the Ingleton-Beer Associates Prize for best depiction of horse and rider. In addition to her original paintings Laura produces portraits of horses, dogs, and other animals on commission.
Based in Darlington, County Durham, Laura lives with her husband, their two young sons, and their three dogs.
